Olinto Leccino

Dop Chianti Classico

Tasting Notes
The olives of the Olinto Leccino variety, are among the first we harvest in our valley every year when they start changing their color. The name comes from the shape of the tree whose leaves remember those of a holm-oak (Quercus ilex). It is unclear the native area of this variety, many experts believe it should be Florence. The Leccino plants are very vigorous and wide.

The flowers are not self-fertilizing but very fertile and their fruits, egg-shaped, usually ripe very early (some years even in mid-October).

Perfect condiment for
We suggest Olinto Leccino olive oil for pasta dishes with asparagus and fresh pecorino sauce, all starters without fish or tomato, roast beef and grilled veal, salads with spicy olives and nuts; it is excellent for smashed potatoes.
